Katie and Chris (Duo Jazz)
Chris Morton has been an in demand pianist for over 10 years in the Seattle area. After attending Bellevue Community College and Central Washington University as a trombone major, Chris chose the piano as his main voice in music.
Mr. Morton has performed with various groups in the Seattle area including The Seattle Jazz Singers, Bellevue Community College Celebration, The Hal Sherman Monday Night Band, Music Works Jazz Orchestra, Steve Alboucq Quartet, The Chris Morton Trio, Milo Peterson and the Jazz Disciples, The Neil Welch Quartet and many other great Seattle jazz groups.
He has also had the pleasure to have shared the stage with such jazz greats as Bobby Shew, Jon Fedchock, Jay Leonhardt, Conrad Herwig, Brian Lynch, Dave Pietro, Robin Eubanks, Jay Thomas, and many more. Chris has had multiple opportunities to perform at Tula’s, Egan's Ballard Jam House, The Triple Door, Jazz Alley, Benaroya Hall and many other great venues in the greater Seattle Area.
Katie Davi:
Graduated from Central Washington University in June this year, with a Bachelors degree in Music Composition. While attending CWU, she spent a great deal of time performing in both the classical and jazz idiom as a solo artist and as a part of ensembles. Katie has also acquired a significant amount of compositional experience devoted to the study, writing and arranging of both vocal and instrumental jazz. Because of her eclectic musical background, Katie draws her inspiration and vocal approach from a wide range of jazz and classical, artists and techniques. She now performs regularly around the Seattle area.
