Argentine Tango, is a sophisticated, passionate dance that will provide the dedicated practitioner an intelligent, sensual way to socialize, develop subtle balance and body awareness. This class series will focus on establishing a solid lead-follow connection and a basic vocabulary of Tango movements that will allow you to navigate the dance floor. No previous experience is necessary and no partner is required! We will do our best to maintain an even lead-follow balance within the class. This passion for Tango recently took her to Buenos Aires, where she spent 2 ½ months studying with some of the best teachers there and dancing with many great dancers from all over the world. Her teaching style emphasizes natural movements and a sensitive lead-follow connection within the dance \nTravis Boothe \nTravis has been dancing consistently over the last 2 1/2 years, and over that time \nhas attracted the attention of some of the best Tango instructors in the region.His background in Martial arts and Yoga laid the foundation of his movement education and over the last ten years as a professional fitness instructor he has \ndeveloped a clear, concise method of communicating complex movement patterns. \nTravis? goal is to encourage a sense of play, accomplishment, and selfefficacy, while learning a beautiful evolving, social art form. \nBoth Jacqueline and Travis currently train and perform with Tango En Vie, Seattle?s first Tango \nperformance group, organized and coached by Sara Thomsen, a well respected teacher and performer \nwithin the dance community.
